Educational Outreach

The Mozart Players encourage an appreciation of classical music among young people, as both listeners and performers. This goal is pursued in a variety of ways, primarily through two school-based programs.

1. Ticket Rewards This program allows instrumental students in primary and middle schools to attend OMP concerts at whatever price they can afford. An adult may accompany the student for the same price. Donations cover the remaining cost of tickets. Umpqua Bank is proud to support this program during the 2006–2007 season.

2. School Visits OMP musicians, including the conductor and guest artists, are available to visit schools, meet with students, and share their enthusiasm for the music performed in concerts.
